A new concept in ocean design.

By pure luck I came across one of the most amazing and stylish yacht that I have seen in a while and it is being built in China by McConaghy Boats for a very lucky couple from Hong Kong.

I used to spend a lot of time and holidays on beautiful yachts so I suppose I am still hooked on them but that’s no surprise since they boast some of the most elegant, stylish and sophisticated interiors.

This beauty is the trimaran “Adastra”. It has taken more than 5 years of design and discussion with the owners; the end result is a yacht that fulfils their needs and that of their family.

The vision: provide a level of comfort and style with low fuel consumption, excellent sea keeping qualities and luxurious accommodation. The outcome: described by Boat International as "one of the world's most amazing super yachts, that could spell the future for efficient long range cruising", "Adastra" will take the power trimaran concept further than has ever been attempted before.

The main deck is comprised of a gorgeous, spacious salon area boasting superb views through a panoramic window while accommodating a lounge area, dining area and navigation station. Through the saloon there is access to a large sun bed on the foredeck.

The garage door has been designed to fold out and create a large dive platform (hummm, I like the sound of that). Extra space has been created below deck to accommodate a full-width master cabin located aft with access from the deck saloon, two further guest cabins and accommodation for the crew.

Adastra offers comfortable accommodation for nine guests and up to six crew members. Jepsen Designs did an amazing job designing the interiors of this stunning yacht.

And if you are looking to get yourself a luxurious yacht you might just have to go and see John ShuttleworthYacht Designs.
